Chris Eckert
President
President of Apollo Associated Services® since 2002, Chris continues as president of Sologic®. Chris helps clients solve problems related to quality, reliability, environmental health and safety, supply chain, logistics, and more. He also works closely with many clients to initiate and improve RCA programs through change management and organizational development. His clients are leaders in a wide variety of industries.
Chris formerly fulfilled design and reliability engineering roles within both Dow Chemical and Rohm Haas, where he developed and implemented successful business-specific reliability and manufacturing improvement plans. At Rohm Haas, he led the implementation of root cause analysis programs at site and enterprise levels, and across other departments, including environmental health and safety, supply chain/logistics, customer service and accounting.
His RCA thought leadership is published in multiple print and online publications, such as Quality Digest, Maintenance Technology and IIE Industrial Engineer, and he has spoken at leading industry conferences, including ASQ, ASSE and SMRP.
A Professional Engineer and a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Chris holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Brian Hughes
Vice President
Since joining Apollo Associated Services in 2000, Brian has served as executive, investigator, instructor, and consultant. He continues as vice president of Sologic.
Working with clients to develop and implement enterprise-wide RCA programs, Brian also has led significant root cause incident investigations, including explosions, loss of primary containment, consumer product contamination, failures of critical aircraft components/systems, supply chain process problems, and inventory optimization problems.
Brian’s work has helped clients achieve substantial savings, as well as significant improvements in safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Brian continues to research the application of causal analysis methods to problem solving and error reduction. His articles are published in multiple industry periodicals as well as online, including Quality Digest, Professional Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety. He also has presented at various industry conferences, including ASQ, ASSE, NSC, APICS, and multiple client events.
Brian holds a BA in Finance from Western Washington University.
Jimmy Marullo
Director of Public Services & Instructor Certification
Since joining Apollo in 2000, Jimmy has taught countless RCA classes for people at all levels of our clients’ organizations, and trains Sologic RCA instructors. He works closely with clients on initiatives such as initiating effective RCA programs, and has led a variety of investigations, including fatalities, explosions and releases, IT issues, mechanical failures and injuries.
Jimmy works with leaders in industries like power generation, manufacturing, construction, mining, healthcare, aerospace, petro chemical, nuclear, IT, healthcare, power, building and materials.
Jimmy holds a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Houston.
Marcus McCoy
Account Manager, Instructor
Marcus' background as a machinist on a factory floor gives him the perspective to understand the client side of the training experience. Whether he's leading an incident investigation, helping clients set up an RCA program, or instructing RCA training, Marcus is focused on providing the highest value possible for his clients.
His training in accounting, finance and the Sologic RCA method offer his clients an account manager who has a unique background with both administrative and operations personnel. Marcus serves a wide range of clients, including petrochemical, construction, aviation, IT, and government.
Marcus holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the University of Phoenix.
Cory Boisoneau
Manager, Sales & Marketing
Cory leads Sologic’s sales efforts in the US and Canada, and works directly with clients from a variety of industries, including power generation, insurance and aerospace, and a variety of disciplines, including IT, safety and reliability.
Working most often with clients new to Sologic, and sometimes new to RCA, Cory helps them identify their needs and opportunities, develop a roadmap for success, and build a solid program foundation.
He also helps established clients improve their programs and reach new goals. For instance, he helped a major chemical company create a platform to analyze their OSHA recordable injuries and events. By compiling all the events together in a standardized and easily readable format, the client and Apollo were able to draw valuable conclusions that helped pinpoint solutions.
Prior to joining Apollo, Cory worked in sales and customer service for Onvia, Inc.
Cory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (International Business) and a minor in Jazz Studies from Washington State University.
Debbie Alford
Director of Communications and Business Development
Communicating information that will help Sologic clients to improve their problem-solving capabilities, cost-avoidance and bottom-line results is Debbie's mission. Working closely with Sologic consultants, investigators and clients, Debbie packages RCA best practices, case studies, success stories and trends designed to deliver value to Sologic’s client base.
With Debbie's initiative, thought leadership from the Sologic team has been showcased in publications including BizTech, Maintenance Technology, Occupational Health & Safety, Professional Safety, Pumps & Systems, Quality Digest, and Quality Progress, as well as during trade show presentations at the American Society of Safety Engineers, American Society for Quality, IT Service Management Forum, National Safety Council, and Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals.
Before joining Sologic, Debbie spent 10 years working in public relations agencies, and 10 years as an independent PR consultant. She has overseen strategic communications programs for a variety of professional services companies, including legal, financial, consulting and technical services.
Jon Boisoneau
Product Manager
As Product Manager for Sologic, Jon manages development and delivery of products such as software, training manuals, and e-learning courses. Jon helps Sologic analyze and define client needs, then develop and deliver products, services and support that directly meet those needs.
Jon has managed the development of web-based human resource applications for various federal agencies, overseen development of custom web applications, and implemented Enterprise Software solutions for large global corporations. His career experience directly benefits Sologic’s clients because he understands the software development life cycle and the importance of thinking far ahead when making technical decisions. He also is skilled at translating a client’s business needs into technical plans and applications.
Prior to working for Apollo, Jon served as senior account manager for a prominent web development agency, and previously as co-owner of another web development agency. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University.
Bruce Ballinger
RCA Program Deployment Specialist
Bruce Ballinger is a root cause analysis program implementation specialist and a certified change management practitioner. A seasoned expert in applying the powerful combination of root cause analysis and change management principles to achieve significant returns on investment, Bruce has authored papers for PROSCI's Change Management Learning Center's national conference. He has put these principles into practice for clients in a variety of industries, and while serving as president of Mountain Cement.
Dixie Kelley
Controller
Dixie serves as controller for Apollo, handling accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, Dixie provides administrative support for Apollo's LMS and other systems.
Dixie has a wealth of accounting and property/facility management experience, having worked for Trammell Crow (multiple locations), Trillium, Purdue Credit Union, Scheumann Properties, a small newspaper, a dot com, a concrete company, an accounting recruiting company, several local pre-schools as well as urgent care.
Dixie graduated in 1992 from the University of West Florida with a BA in Accounting.
Melani Egbert
Office Manager and Logistics Coordinator
When you register for a Sologic seminar, or place an order with our office, it is likely that Melani will be your first point of contact to assist you with your needs. Whether she is organizing Sologic's next symposium, scheduling Sologic classes, fulfilling orders, or coordinating public seminars, Melani is focusing first and foremost on customer service.
Melani has an extensive background in the private club business in the various disciplines including Service Director, Special Events Coordinator and Member Relations Director. Although different in their function, each position has provided her with a solid foundation of customer service and customer satisfaction. Additionally, her previous experiences integrated training service staff, planning and executing special events and reducing attrition – all of which are complementary assets to her duties at Sologic.
A recent graduate of Northwood University, Melani’s BBA in Management balances her life and business experience with academics.
Molly Wagner
Instructor & facilitator
An Apollo contract instructor since 2003, Molly’s focus of experience is in engineering, manufacturing, and safety. She has particular expertise in improving asset utilization.
Molly was introduced to the Apollo RCA method in 1998 at Dow Chemical while working as an engineer. During that time, Dow Chemical used the Apollo RCA method for injury investigations, asset utilization, unplanned downtime, and reliability issues.
In addition to working for Apollo, Molly substitute teaches for science and math classes. Molly holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Marcelo Haick
Managing Director, Sologic South America
Director of Apollo South America since 2005, Marcelo continues as director of Sologic South America. An expert in RCA methodology, he performs investigations, and provides training and consulting services throughout South America.
Marcelo is intent on improving organizations by helping them more effectively solve problems. He believes that for organizations to build strong problem-solving cultures, they must achieve healthy customer relationships, collaboration, and a knowledge-sharing environment.
A graduate of Santos Medical College with expertise in occupational medicine, Marcelo’s professional background includes environmental, health and safety management systems, strategic planning and ergonomics consulting. Several of his technical articles have been published and his presentations delivered at industry conferences.
Augusto A. Constantino
REGIONAL MANAGER, SOLOGIC SOUTH AMERICA
Regional Manager for Sologic South America’s Buenos Aires office, Augusto is responsible for serving as trainer and consultant to Spanish-speaking clients throughout South America.
Specializing in quality management systems and continuous improvement, Augusto has conducted numerous international certification audits while serving as a third-party auditor for ISO 9000. While implementing QMS for businesses in a variety of industries, he has utilized tools-based methodologies for continuous improvement, such as QFD, 5 S, Applied Statistics, Failure Mode Analysis, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing, among others.
Augusto has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Quality Engineering from National Technology University, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Rob Jackson
Contract Instructor and Regional Representative
Affiliated with Apollo Associated Services since 1998, Rob is now a contract instructor and the regional representative for Sologic in Australia and New Zealand.
For more than 20 years, Rob has provided consulting focused on the delivery and installation of root cause analysis, Lean Manufacturing programs, and Total Productive Maintenance. Currently, through his long-term association with The Manufacturing Game®, he employs both RCA and the strategy of defect elimination -- via experiential learning workshops -- to drive organizational change and promote high-reliability and safe work practices through high-performance work teams. Rob’s work with companies in Australia and beyond spans leaders in a variety of industries, including oil, gas, chemical and mining.
Prior to consulting, Rob amassed over 20 years’ experience with multi-national companies in a variety of senior management and operational roles, both in the UK and overseas. As a business manager for the technology operations of one large brewery group, he oversaw assets and provided technical support to plants in Africa, the Caribbean and Australasia. As a general manager with the Strategic Industries Research Foundation (SIRF) in Melbourne -- a Victorian State Government initiative -- he had overall responsibility for their Manufacturing Excellence best practice program.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Microbiology, and a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
Eddie Janson
Managing Director, Sologic Scandinavia AB
Managing Director of Apollo Associated Services Scandinavia AB since 2005, Eddie continues as Managing Director of Sologic® Scandinavia AB. Eddie helps clients solve problems related to manufacturing, transportation, health and safety, logistics, and more.
Eddie formerly worked onboard ships and served as Captain on Oil and Chemical Tankers in world-wide trade. He also has a background as instructor/trainer within the maritime industry, both in Europe and Asia.
He is a frequent speaker at Maritime Industry Seminars and writes monthly safety columns in Shipgaz Magazine.
Eddie is a Master Mariner and holds a B.S. in Nautical Science from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
Eric Lim
Managing Director, Sologic Asia-pacific
While practicing as a consulting engineer helping his client to solve technical problems, Eric became Director of Apollo Associated Services Asia-Pacific Limited in 2005, and continues as the Director of Sologic Asia Pacific Limited, offering language fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
After investigating over 1600 events, Eric’s professional history allows him to be proficient in failure analysis of mechanical systems, accidents, fires and explosions. He also provides technical opinions relating to reconstruction, and applications of a wide range of materials.
Eric has a background in Mechanical Engineering, and more specifically in behavior of materials through his research work. Eric is a corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers where he serves as a committee member of the Materials Division and the Education and Examinations Committee, and is a representative of Materials Discipline Advisory Panel. He is also a member of the Academy of Experts - UK, a fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors, and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Steel Constructions.
David Tooth
Managing Director, Sologic Europe
Managing Director of Apollo Associated Services (Europe) Ltd since 1999, David continues as Managing Director of Sologic Ltd. David helps clients solve problems related to quality, reliability, environmental health and safety, supply chain, logistics, and more. He also works closely with many clients to initiate and improve RCA programs through change management and organizational development, and provides independent facilitation services directly to clients. His clients are leaders in a wide variety of industries and disciplines.
David led a variety of engineering, installation and operational groups during more than 25 years with Air Products & Chemicals in Europe. This included five years as European EH&S Director, during a period when Air Products attained an industry leadership reputation for its health and safety commitments and performance. He also served as European Operations Director. These roles embraced the introduction of effective root cause analysis across many disciplines, including EH&S, quality, continuous improvement, logistics and general operations.
During his time with Air Products, he chaired many trade association committees -- both British and European -- drove the development of a worldwide safety, health and environmental management system.
David is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers – CEng FIMechE.
Barry Little
INSTRUCTOR
Barry has worked in the Manufacturing and Service Industry for over 42 years. He is the Managing Director of Barry J Little and Associates, who specialize in Management development and Training, and has provided facilitation to a number of business schools and major international companies in South Africa.
Barry left Air Products PLC in the UK in 1982 to join Air Products South Africa as Engineering Manager for the Merchant Gas division and progressed to General Manager: Technical Support. Barry was trained in the use of Apollo RCA in 1999 and successfully used the Apollo RCA methodology to identify and implement effective solutions to business-related problems, in particular-EH&S, operations and support services.
During his years in South Africa, Barry was activity involved in industry associations and government working groups, and a board member of two not-for-profit companies working in the gas industry and with government to establish national standards and regulations.
Barry has studied mechanical engineering and management for many years, and has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Special areas of expertise include incident investigation, field EH&S, EH&S and quality management systems, labor law, operations and general management.
