How Roxy Helped Release Causelink 3.0

Sologic has been working on mobile root cause analysis software for nearly a year.  After two rounds of Beta testing and many iterations, I’m happy to announce the release of Causelink Version 3, browser-based software that now includes support for mobile phones.  Providing a new way to interact with Causelink is an exciting step for Sologic, and for our customers.  Causelink Mobile gives you a fast and easy way to input investigation data and to collaborate with other team members.  Taking advantage of your smartphone’s voice to text capabilities, this new update allows you to talk your way through data gathering and causal identification, saving time and reducing errors.  Another great new feature is the ability to upload photos and videos directly from your phone – also a big time-saver.

My favorite part of this release has been reviewing the software, mobile phone in hand, while strolling around my backyard.  The neighbors must have thought I was crazy as I talked through the “hazardous spill” I was “investigating”, while uploading photos and videos of our new puppy, Roxy.  What a great way to test the system – simulating end users in the field who will add investigation data with nothing but their phones.  I’d end the testing sessions by dragging myself inside to review the data on my trusty laptop.  Sure enough, there were the words I had just spoken, and lots of photos of the cutest puppy in the world!

Other new features in Version 3.0 include reporting improvements, automated cause and effect summary, and additional authentication and integration options.  We have released this update to our Software as a Service customers and will be rolling it out over the next several weeks to customers who have Causelink Enterprise installed on their corporate network. So far, we’ve heard great feedback.  People love the versatility and are already asking for more features.  That is a good sign.  We will certainly continue to improve this new product as we gain more customer feedback over the next few months.
