The United States Industrial Safety Association was formed in recognition of the growing importance of industrial worker safety as our nation enters what many regard as the fastest growth period in high hazard jobs since The New Deal. Since Congress passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in 2021, industrial companies nationwide have been gearing up for a historic federal investment in America’s core infrastructure priorities – including roads and bridges, rail, transit, ports, the electric grid, water systems and broadband. In total, $550 Billion in spending will take place over 5 years, requiring U.S. industrial businesses to scale up at unprecedented speed to meet the demand for an estimated 2 million industrial jobs per year for the next decade.

While the federal program will pair job creation efforts with funding for workforce development training and safety, USISA was formed to complement national programs with a specific emphasis on supporting workers and their families in some of the highest hazard industries.
